We are starting a frequent update on new puppies and the daily activities of the rest of the family.
Last week we had a new addition to the family. Emory, one of our adopted females from Golden and Glaze. Emory and Pete had a puppy, a litter of one. Yes, a singleton. Rare indeed. We will be having her tested to ensure its not genetic. Emory is a small female, and her 1st litter, the most likely cause is she only had one egg drop. Its all about timing.
We have given this litter names, we try to go with themes, forever families can change the names. Drop us a line if you can guess the themes!
Grey= Booker
Black= Jack
Blue= Russell
Yellow= Walker
Pink= Harper
Emory's pup = Carson
Having the singleton gave us a few challenges, puppies can't regulate their body temperature. Thats why you see litters all in a pile when they sleep. After some research, we went with sock buddies. Fill a couple of socks with rice and microwave for a minute, Bam! Litter mates. It has really helped mom out, she can leave the pup without it crying.
